I can't believe it's November already!
The kids had a great time with the whole "Halloween thing" this year (I'll try to post some pics later). Damon was the Blue Power Ranger and Avery was Piglet at one Fall Festival and a Duck for "Trick or Treat" night.
We have more sugary candy sitting around here than we'll be able to consume before Christmas (although, I'm helping the kids out tremendously with that consumption issue! I've inhaled all of the Kit Kats and Baby Ruths... YUM).

I'm loving the fall leaves and cooler weather. And, unlike most people, I'm also loving the time change... I like the fact that it gets dark at 5pm and we have a long evening indoors (usually in front of the television... Nick and I have recently become addicted to the History Channel).

However, as much as I claim to "love" this fall season, I have found myself feeling more "down" than usual this week. Explain that one... because it's got me stumped. Maybe it's because we're scraping pennies to get by these days; or maybe it's because Nick is still working crazy hours, even though his busy, Summer season is officially over; or maybe I'm a little homesick for the mountains of West Virginia this time of year (nothing is more beautiful than that!).

Anyway, onto happier things! I'm hoping to finally "figure out" this blog thing and invite others to view my random, uninteresting thoughts! :) So far, I'm still pretty clueless, but if I play around on here enough, I should be an expert blogger by the time Spring rolls around.

Hugs to everyone out there!!
