Fickle

Tonight was bath night for Avery. Usually, I draw her bath and let her play in the tub for a while before we get down to business and wash her dirty body/hair. Well, tonight, I decided to do it the other way around... and when Avery saw me reaching for the soap, she protested (but it didn't last long). Here's how the conversation went:

Avery: No, Mommy!!! I don't want to get clean first... I want to play!!!

Mommy: Well, let's just get the clean part over with, and then you can play for a while, okay?

Avery: *huge smile* That's a GREAT idea!!!!!!

I had to chuckle. If only the kids were always that easy to convince (at bedtime, for instance)!
