Hallelujah! We survived another year...

Nick and I, that is.

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. Only 6 years, wow. It really feels like it's been at least double that, lol.

A while back, I started a scrapbook of our wedding day... and, well, I'm STILL working on it! It's so funny to look back at those photos... at us 6 years ago. Nick and I were younger, thinner, cuter (and Nick had a lot more hair!). And we look deliriously happy in those photos. But, honestly, I think we're a lot "happier" and more content today.

We've had 6 years since then to love and learn and grow with one another. We've weathered a lot of storms over the past 6 years, but miraculously, we keep surviving them... and I believe that those "wild rides" are what make us a stronger couple with each passing year.

Our day-to-day lives are filled with grueling work schedules, balancing checkbooks, keeping a chaotic house, and attempting to raise two happy, healthy children amid the chaos. So, it's not very often that we take the time to remember HOW and WHERE this all started.

Today, I'm remembering, with a smile on my face. And I know that if I could go back in time to this day in 2001, I'd do it all over again... in a heartbeat.

Happy Anniversary, Witschey. I'm still very fond of you! *wink*

Yes, Dad, 6 years ago (on a day just as hot as this one!!), you were taking pics of us waving from the ferry... I just scrapped those the other night, as a matter o' fact!

I'm just as glad today that you were a part of our day (a HUGE part, I might add). XXOO.
