Damon's latest school pic

I know I've said it before... and I will most certainly say it again (so quit rolling your eyes already!), but isn't he GORGEOUS!?!?

I can't believe my "baby" is that huge kid shown in the photo above. How in the world did that happen?? It seems like just yesterday he was THIS sweet little baby:

I know it's cliche, but they really DO grow up so fast!!

Another Interview, courtesy of Angie

1. What is one thing you’d change about your husband if you could? His job. No doubt about that one. I know he seems to love it, for some reason unknown to me... and while I respect him for being GREAT at what he does, it drives me bonkers that he's away from home (ie, me and the kids) as much as he is. If I could change one thing, I'd plop him right down in a nice 9-5, salaried job! :)

2. What one personality trait do you dislike about yourself? Probably that I'm too sensitive. I've never had a "thick skin" and the littlest negative thing that someone says to or about me, can really get under my skin. I try to follow the "who cares what other people think" advice, but I find that's much easier said than done.

3. What is one thing you’d never change about yourself–personality, body, etc? I'd never change my smile or laugh. When I was a kid in school, I got in trouble a lot for "laughing too much." I never really understood why that was a bad thing. As an adult, sometimes it's mistaken for being "loud and obnoxious," but it's me and I kinda like it! :)

4. What is your favorite scrapbook layout? (share a picture or describe it) Yikes, my favorite EVER?? (Angie, do you know how many layouts I HAVE?!?!? lol)....... Okay, I'm back from searching through books and books of layouts... I have lots of favorites, for different reasons... but here's ONE:

It's not a fabulous page, as far as scrapbooking goes (and this digital pic of it doesn't do it justice!), but it is one of my all-time favorite pics... the first one ever taken of Nick and me soon after we first met. I recently started making a scrapbook of "us." Which is a nice change after scrapping a zillion pics of our kids for the past 5.5 years. So, lots of the layouts in that book are "my favorites."

5. Where do you see yourself a year from now? I see myself working outside of the home again, and hopefully feeling that I have a life of some sort away from my children. Other than that, things will probably be pretty much the same! Oh, and I'd like to have improved housekeeping skills by then, too! :)

Another tag! The "I" Meme.

Thanks to Trish, I haven't had to come up with a "real" blog entry in days! Here is yet another meme that she and I both saw on another blog this week. We both loved it... and vowed to answer it on our blogs... so here goes...

I AM: A 30-year-old WAHM... yee haw. (yes, it was sarcasm)
I WANT: To win the lottery (too bad I don't play the lottery)
I WISH: Nick had a "normal" job and could spend more time at home with us
I HATE: People who are so quick to judge everyone and everything... especially when they're ultra-hypocritical while doing so (which is often the case)
I MISS: The freedom of my pre-Mommy days
I FEAR: Car accidents and terrorism
I HEAR: My children screaming "amarillo" and "agua" along with Dora. (we love Dora... she's the best babysitter ever!)
I WONDER: When I'll feel like a "grown up."
I REGRET: getting my degree in a useless thing like English (what was i thinking??)
I AM NOT: Housekeeper of the Year (wahhhh!)
I DANCE: Like a white girl. It's not pretty.
I SING: Anything and everything.
I CRY: at sappy, country songs (like Tim McGraw's Don't Take the Girl... every time!)
I AM NOT ALWAYS: happy go-lucky. People think I am b/c I usually seem that way in person... it's usually an act! LOL
I MAKE WITH MY HANDS: scrapbook pages... duh.
I WRITE: very lengthy emails, or "emotive missives" as my Dad likes to call them!
I CONFUSE: my children with two wild animals, often
I NEED: to manage my time better
I SHOULD: be working right now
I START: every day feeling sluggish and unmotivated
I FINISH: almost every line of an email/bb post with LOL, ROFL, or :)

Who I'm tagging: Denise, Jessica, Ellen

Interview, Anyone?

Oh, thank goodness.. my buddy Trish posted this strange Interview thing on her blog, so now I actually have something to blog about today!

Basically, she posted about an interview, I commented on her post so she would "interview" me... and she posted the following questions for me on her blog, which I'm supposed to answer HERE, on my blog (confused yet??). And I'm supposed to keep the chain going by asking you to comment on this blog entry if you want to be interviewed by me! Got it?? So, leave me a comment if you're feeling up to it, and I'll try to come up with some thrilling questions for ya!

Okay, here goes... The 5 things Trish wants to know about me...

What is one thing that you have learned over the 6 years you have been a SAHM? Oh geez, I think I've learned A LOT since I've been home with the kids, but you want something, like, PROFOUND here?? lol Okay, okay, I've learned that being a SAHM is probably the hardest job I've ever had or ever WILL have. I think people who don't do it tend to romanticize what a "day at home with the babies" is like... I've learned that it ain't all roses, People! :) But would I trade a minute of it? No, probably not.

What is one thing that you would really like to learn how to do? So many things... I've always wanted to learn to play the piano, since I was a kid... but I don't have a piano and don't see me getting one any time soon, so... I'd also like to learn how to do all of that fancy coding to make my blog look "pretty" and "Erin-like!"

What is the most difficult desicion that you have ever had to make? To stay or to go.

Tell me about your first date with Nick, how was it and what was your impression of him. Date? What date?? lol Nick and I met one night when we were bar-hopping in town with a huge group of people... I thought he was cute, bought him a beer... we spent the whole night hanging out and "getting to know each other" *wink* I thought he was gorgeous and sexy and had that "bad boy" thing going for him that I liked, for some strange reason... I also thought he was way out of my league. But, here we are!

What is the best compliment that you have ever recieved? Every time someone tells me that Avery is my twin (which happens at least once a day), I take that as a huge compliment because I think she's perfectly adorable!

Please Do Not Feed or Pet the Wild Animals

That simple instruction is posted on about a zillion signs at a National/State park near our house, where wild animals "rule" and roam free, into the roads or anywhere they please.

Can you see how well my husband follows directions??

Yeah, that deer in the second pic is chowing down on some Teddy Grahams that we had in the car (b/c every SUV that hauls children on a regular basis has Teddy Grahams lying around SOMEWHERE, right??).

Don't Hate Him Because He's BEAUTIFUL!!!

For real... he's gorgeous, isn't he??

When I first uploaded these pics to my computer and saw them, I asked a friend if it was wrong of me to think that my 5-year-old son is downright "pretty." Because, really, he is!! She assured me it was okay, because someday he'll be "hot!" LOL I'm not sure I like the sounds of that, either, to be honest. A "hot" teenage boys sounds like a recipe for disaster, not to mention a head full of gray hair. God help me!!

Bad, bad blogger!!

So, my dear mother-in-law (*waves to Chris*) sent me an e-mail this morning mentioning that she hasn't seen a new entry here in a while... I'm a BAD blogger, what can I say! :)

I love writing these silly little things, too, but sometimes I just run out of anything even halfway interesting to say... and how many pictures do you guys REALLY want to see of Damon and Avery (even if they are the cutest kids that ever lived... really!)??

So here I am now, posting, with really nothing to say! Things are ho-hum around here these days... well, there's rarely a dull moment with The Gruesome Twosome running amok, but it's still same old, same old for me, unfortunately.

One of these days, when I have more time, I'm going to upload some new pics of my offspring for your viewing pleasure, I PROMISE!! Until then, stay tuned....
